  1 Minute
The root vegetable and pumpkin diet is a temporary diet that is recommended for people suffering from digestive issues such as constipation, food poisoning, gastritis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and diarrhoea. It is a simple, back-to-basics type diet that should only be followed when one is experiencing digestive issues to help the gut rebalance and recover.
Diet Table

It is recommended to follow this diet for at least 5 to 10 days. Once you start feeling better, you can introduce other vegetables and fruit, grains, whole seeds and nuts, animal protein and dairy products one at a time into your diet. It is better to eat food groups alone and away from one another so as to determine which foods aggravate the digestive system.
