While it’s difficult to say no to those big brown eyes stare at you eating your food, “no” might save your dog’s life. Are you aware of the human foods your dog can and can’t eat?

Here, we have compiled a list of the most common household foods that your four-legged friend can and can’t eat, helping you avoiding any unnecessary accidents that might result in hefty vet bills.

Banana Apple seeds
Carrots Caffeine
Cheese Candy/sweets
Chicken Chocolate / Cacao
Eggs Grapes
Green beans Garlic
Honey Ice Cream
Blueberries Mustard seeds

Mango Mushrooms
Kiwi Nutmeg
Peanut Butter (ensure it does not contain xylitol) Xylitol

As a rule of thumb, it’s better to avoid feeding your dog any human food. Feeding human food can cause weight gain and other serious problems. Rather stick to pet food, specifically formulated for their health and wellbeing.
